This is not the first time Prince William has honored his mother on Mother’s Day. Since the death of Princess Diana in 1997, when William was just 15 years old, he has regularly shared photographs or personal messages remembering her on the occasion.
Meanwhile, Prince Harry has previously arranged for flowers to be placed at Diana’s gravesite on Mother’s Day.
Remembering “Granny Diana”
The remembrance now extends to the next generation as well. William’s children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, have made handmade cards in recent years addressed to their “Granny Diana.”
They also celebrate their own mother, Catherine, Princess of Wales, continuing the family tradition of honoring motherhood each year.
