Royal commentator Rob Shuter recently discussed the issue during an appearance on The Nerve with Maureen Callahan. Shuter, who previously worked as a publicist for Princess Michael of Kent, claimed that discussions about the possibility of abdication have been circulating behind palace doors.
Shuter said that sources within royal circles had seen his recent commentary suggesting that Charles should consider stepping aside, and that some people inside the palace privately agreed it might be “time to turn the page.”
